非洲研究中心的宗旨和任务是：(1)协调和组织全校的非洲研究；(2)举办报告
会、讨论会和讲座等学术活动，协助培养研究生；(3)接受来自校外的咨询和人
才培养任务；(4)组织和推进同校外、国外非洲研究机构和高等院校的研究生培
养、学术交流合作研究；(5)编辑出版《非洲研究丛书》；(6)收藏有关非洲的 图书资料。
中心将出版年刊《非洲学研究》，以及时反映和介绍我校及国内外非洲研究的成果和学术动态。

为推动中心的学术研究和国内外学术交流，热忱地希望国内外企业事业单位、基金会、研究机构和个人，
以各种形式予以支持和赞助，我中心将用适当的形式予以感谢。

The purpose of the centre is to promote African studies at Peking University,and improve its linkage with other institutions.Its task is as follows:
1) To coordinate and organize African studies at the university;
2) To hold seminars,lectures and conferences,and to cooperate in training graduate students;
3) To provide training program and consultation for organizations and enterprises;
4) To organize and improve the training of graduate students,academic exchange and research cooperation with other institutions and universities;
5) To publish Series of African Studies;
6) To collect books and information on African studies.
