“一带一路”国际合作高峰论坛将于5月14-15日在北京举行，非洲的一些政要也在邀请之列。关于“一带一路一洲”的观点，与北京大学国家发展研究院的林毅夫教授关系密切。他在担任世界银行副行长时曾多次访问非洲， 探讨非洲发展之道，并将中国的华坚集团引进埃塞俄比亚，促进了当地制鞋 业的发展。这一案例已在国际上产生广泛影响。在这一实践的基础上，他提 出了工业发展的行业对接和窗口期的相关论点，并将此运用到新结构经济学 之中。2015年1月16日，在北京大学举办的“朗润·格政”论坛—“一带一路”战略构想研讨会上，林毅夫认为:在一带一路战略基础上，还需加上非洲战 略，成为“一带一路一洲”。因为中国巨大的劳动力密集型产业可以向非洲 转移。“按照第三次工业普查，中国制造业的就业人员是1.24亿人，相当于 当年日本的12倍。世界上能够承接这么大规模劳动密集型产业转移的地方只 有非洲。非洲有10亿人，大量剩余劳动力在农村，年轻人比例高，工资水平 只有中国的十分之一至五分之一。在转移劳动密集型产业到非洲方面，已有 华坚集团等成功案例。”在是否将非洲纳入一带一路战略之中，中国政府似乎也有过考虑，曾有过一带一路就只包括65个国家的说法(其中只有埃及一个非洲国家)。然而，现在已经将非洲东海岸和马达加斯加纳入一带一路战略之中，看来，一带一路战略也是一种开放的战略。中国企业和中国人一定 要充分利用这种机会，遵守非洲国家法律和规章，真正做到合作双赢。我们知道，一些中国的志愿者目前在非洲进行保护环境和保护动物的活动。然而，前几天有消息报道在刚果金的上加丹加地区抓住偷伐偷运红木的14个中国人。如果个别国人今天贩卖象牙，明天偷运红木，中国人的名声都被他们败坏了，还谈什么合作呢?一些中国人在非洲保护环境，另一些中国人却在非洲破坏环境。西方政府正在等着利用种机会攻击中国。对于个别中国人这种害群之马的恶劣行径一定要严惩。

2月，北京大学社会学教授、北京大学中国社会与发展研究中心主任邱泽奇教授的专著《朋友在先:中国对乌干达卫生发展援助案例研究》由社会科学文献出版社出版。
4月27日，应非洲研究中心副主任赵白生教授之邀，中国驻坦桑尼亚公使 参赞苟皓东先生来北大，商讨“非洲领袖比较研究:尼雷尔传”的合作事宜。非洲研究中心主任李安山教授、潘华琼博士、文丽华博士，以及项目的第二梯队世界传记研究中心的博士生郑春光、彭倩和王荃参加了本次活动。
5月6日，摩洛哥王国穆罕默德五世大学代表Professor Sefiani Driss、 Prof. Machrafi教授访问北京大学非洲研究中心，与刘海方、潘华琼、廉超群和非洲同学代表戈梅拉(Gomera) 、罗友洛(Luyolo)会谈，就10 + 10合作 机制下北大同穆罕默德五世大学可推进的合作了进行讨论。
5月8日，扬州大学研究生院常务副院长俞洪亮教授和外国语学院院长王金 铨教授在中国社会科学杂志社副总编辑李新烽研究员的陪同下访问非洲研究中心，与会长李安山教授、副会长兼秘书长毕健康研究员和副秘书长潘华琼博士商量2017年中国非洲史研究会在扬州大学召开年会事宜并就相关问题达成一致。
